      Obituary:

      Services for Rev. Lawrence R. Berge, 81, will be conducted at 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 13 at 2010 at the First Church of the Nazarene, Casper, Wyoming by Rev. Tom Lance. He died on February 14, 2010 at life Care Center of Casper. Rev. Berge was born December 11, 1928 in Bagley, MN. He was the son of Robert and Beda (Berglund) Berge. He was raised and attended school in Bagley. He went on to prepare for the ministry at St. Paul Bible Institute in St. Paul, MN.

      On August, 6, 1949, he married Alice Willoughby in Superior, WI. He and his wife moved to Casper in 1983. Lawrence was a minister for 50 years with the Christian and Missionary Alliance, retiring in October of 2003. He pastored churches in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Montana, Nebraska and Wyoming. In addition to ministry, he was a skilled carpenter and avid hunter. He also loved music, photography and writing poetry.

      Survivors include his three daughters, Kay fredrick of Shawvane, WI, Lois Strawser of Casper and Joanne Tofslie of Windsor, CO, five granddaughters, for great grandsons, and four great granddaughters; sister Ruth Trosen of Cass Lake, MN and brother Philip Berge of Covington, IN.

      He was precede in death by his wife, Alice, parents, Robert and Beda Berge, four brothers, Kenny, Paul, Einar, and Olaf and sister Mildred.

      Interment will be at Highland Cemetery.
