- Went to sea as a young man, settled later in USA, where he stayed. According to the United States Census of 1900, Peder immigrated in 1880 and subsequently became a naturalized citizen.
Peder became an enrolled voter, in 1888, in the City of Chicago, Ilinois, Northern District of Illinios. The voter registration showed that Peder's citizenship papers were filed on December 7th, 1887 in the Superior Court of Cook County, Illinois. Peder lived at 189 W. Ohio Street, Chicago, Illinois in 1888. The 1900 Federal Census showed that Peder (or Peter) married Ingebord Howe in about 1895. Peter died in Helmar, Kendall County, Illinois according to a postcard sent from Bertel and Kaia Ronneberg to Martin Andersen Rønneberg dated 11 April 1910.
City directories for Chicago, Illinios show that Peder (Peter) co-owned a meat market with Adolph Hansen (Ronneberg & Hansen) at 254 N. Halsted, Chicago, Illinois for the years from 1890 through 1893.
