Notes |
- Ingvold (Pinkie) was adopted. "Ingvold was actually theyoungest of 3 children (Clara, Erwine, Ingvold) born of IngaKjorsvik and Sivert O. Remmie. Inga died (10 Mar 1910) shortlyafter giving birth to Ingvold (3 Mar 1910) due to complications. The children were passed around to various neighbors to includeAunt Minnie (Ronneberg/Kjorsvik), Mrs. Frank Johnson, Mrs. ChrisJohnson, Mrs. Wood, Mrs Stevenson, and her grandmother. Duringthis time his father Sivert decided to move to Minnesota inhopes of a better life. The year was 1910. Tom and MaryRonneberg took Ingvold in, while Sivert along with his otherchildren (Clara and Erwin) moved to Minnesota. Sivert reportedhe would be back within the year to get Ingvold. Sivertreturned as promised, but Tom and Mary were so attached theydecided to keep the child. Ingvold attended school in EagleHill, Canada until grade 9 then moved back with his father inMinnesota. He stayed in Minnesota for about 3 years and did notcare for it, so he moved back to Canada and continued to livewith the the Ronneberg family. After school he stayed on partof the Ronneberg Farm. In Canada they called him Pinkie, buthis family in Minnesota called him Inkie." This account wassent to me by e-mail, on June 6th 2003, and is from Randy Klug.
