These items were returned to the Stavanger Museum in 1970 by Terres Albert Ronneberg. His father Trygve Ronneberg brought them to America. See letters 1 an 2 in documents.

Trygve Rønneberg sailed to the United States on S.S. Campania from Liverpool England 9 September 1905 and arrived in New York 15 Sept 1905. He was listed as a Civil Engineer from Stavanger Norway with a destination of Humbolt St Chicago, IL, the business of D.R. Reit & Co. The manifest says he was 20 years old but he really was 24 almost 25, Single, Scandinavian and he could read and write. He paid his own passage and had $250 with him. He did not have a ticket to his final destination, and it appears he had been in Chicago before in 1905. He had no medical or other problems.

This page in the Stavanger Domkirke records shows Trygve's baptism. It is hard to read but indicates Trygve was born 27 Sept 1880 and baptized 22 October 1880. He was number 124 of boys baptized in that church that year.
